Resume vs CV - admin - 03-02-2009 06:12 AM Almost all of you will say, what the heck, why two names for the same thing? It is not real, in North America when you want to be considered for a job you send a Resume (besides Quebec where the name is CV but the meaning is still Resume). A description of your skills and your projects that are showing your experience and what you can offer to a possible employer. In Europe you send out a CV (Curriculum Vitae) And this is a short description of your life, not only your professional skills and your projects but also what you have outside the workplace things like: driver license, number of children, age and much more. That is the reason why I have both of them in the forum title. And also keep in mind if you want to apply for a job in Europe, you should use your CV here. If you apply for jobs in North America you should use your resume here. These being said... good luck in finding a job! |
